Question:
I am doing with a group of friends a trip to Northern Kenya this Ausgust. We have hired for our group a safari truck from one of your recommended safari operators. I have used your 2002 Kenya guide to prepare the trip. Congratulations, it has lots of useful information.
We plan to camp a couple of nights on the campsite near Ngeng River and Kitich Camp you refer to on pags 605/606 of your book. On page 605 you refer to this campsite as "the nearby KWS station campsite". When asked about it, my Kenyan operator says that "the campsite which you are referring to has got no connection
with KWS or Nairobi park authority, no further comment".
Can you or any traveler who has been there give me any additional information on this campsite? Is it near a KWS sation or not? Does this spot worth the effort needed to get there?
