Hi friend,
you would like to visite the Sri Lanka in the future and as you like, to stay in any places... Kandy, Mirissa, Nuwar-eliya... Nice idea!

Could I tell you some information about Sri Lanka.
The south coast is very beautyful. Where you can find good hotels. In septeber the beach is rugh, so you can go to visit Nuwara Eliya (small England), Polonnaruwa (old city) elephents orphanage, and Yala national park (wild life). Otherwise Uda Walawe national park.
At first, I suggest than you go to Pinnawela (elephents orphenage), after Kandy (temple and botanic garden) where you can stay the night in this wonderful city. Next day, you can go to Nuwara Eliya (tea plantations, water falls, fresh vegetables around this area). Third day, Polonnaruwa and see the buddhist statue (unbelievable how it's made on the stone!). When you'll come back, on the way it's Sigiriya rock where you have to climb up more one hour. Close to Sigiriya there are cave temple at Dabulla.
You can count more than two days for wild life Yala National park.

Don't forget... it's a risk near beaches/hotels, there are many beach'boys who tray to discuss friendly but with idea to earn a maximum from tourists.

Don't travel with any valiues, jewelery...
