Dear Admin,

Your idea of a Bug-spotting Contest is devious and ingenious and am willing to partake if it makes this site more efficient and fun to use.

A particular bug which has annoyed me from Day 1 is the one where you get this error message:Response object error 'ASP 0158 : 80004005'

Missing URL

/signin.html, line 20

A URL is required.

whenever you try to sign in using the "Already a Member?" field. I know of at least 4 members who have given up trying to become regular contributors, due to this bug.

I've tried showing them the way around the bug, but they've all agreed to use other sites.

I think the book idea is good, but really all we want is a site which is problem free. Smile

Thanks for bringing up that item! Unfortunately, I can't replicate it. Can you give me more detail? I just tried logging into the community using the "already a member" field, and it worked no problem. There may be an issue with your account (it happens from time to time) not having completed setup correctly. Please also supply me the username you're using to login, and I'll check it out from this end.

Many thanks!
Smile

Hi

I thought that would be obvious - I'm using thebigfella and I've tried using my email address but that doesn't work either. Incidentally I have exactly the same problems logging onto the IGOUGO site in their equivalent field. I bypass the field there by clicking on "problems logging in?" which brings up a username field instead - sorted.

On this site I log in via the GuideTools page which is saved under "favourites."

I hope you do sort the glitch.

Thanks
