Question:
Greetings,

I'm curious about members' thoughts on ecotourism -- what it means to you. Also, what it means for the future of so many communities in pockets of the world that have fallen prey to mass tourism (or will soon), and subsequently have become cultural and environmental wastelands -- because of the impact unsustainable tourism has had on their destinations. Spain is a good example that's been in the news lately, but there are many more examples.

I'd love to know your thoughts.

Ecotourism means understanding and respecting other cultures because they are different. Then, it's easy to discover how and which local businesses benefit from direct contact (and money) with "ecotourists"
