Just got ripped off by Ryanair- the so called low fares airline. Me and my girlfriend went to Munich for a week. Also had to use Easy jet,for a connecting flight, and they were excellent. The daylight robbery occured when Ryanair charged us £31 quid for being 7 kilos over. Our luggage going out with Ryanair did not seem to be a problem, but three beer tankards bought in Munich on the way back did! Easyjet did'nt pass any heed of our excessive burden on their aircraft, but Ryanair did. What else would one expect from an airline that wont even let their own employees form a union? Use Easyjet! Anyone else been ripped off by them? Their logo should be 'hidden cost', not 'low cost'
Just be glad you weren't in a wheelchair - they charged some poor bloke £31 just to get him from check in to the plane in his wheelchair! Cryin' Air indeed!

i would not travel by ryan air for a million pounds, if you are in the UK, earlier this year or late last year there was a programme on the tv about the training the cabin crew receive and how they were told how to get round most of the safety aspects of the job etc and from what i saw their attitude was as shoddy and dangerous as hell and earlier this year there was an article in the "Daily Mail" about a ryan air flight that experienced air turbulance and one of the feamle cabin crew panicked and started screaming that they were about to crash and die etc. WOULD YOU WANT TO TRAVEL WITH AN AIRLINE SUCH AS THIS ????

I'm afraid you're facts are wrong. This was actually a Virgin Atlantic flight to Las Vegas.
In the early 90's, I used to fly Brussels Gothenburg every few weeks, often every week. This 2 hr flight was GBP600 return business class (I needed to be able to change my tickets : cheap flights required weekend travel + a night away). I got a newspaper, free drinks and breakfast.
Now, I fly Languedoc to UK every few weeks. This 2 hr flight averages a cost of around around GBP60 return. (I can change my tickets : I can fly any day I like, even on the same day). I do not get a newspaper, free drinks or breakfast.
