i recently went with some mates of mine up the coast and ended up staying at Misty Lodge Backpackers for about 2 weeks. had an absolute blast!! besides the friendly staff, there was a fantastic atmosphere. we spent nights around the fireplace playing pool and being entertained and daytime the most incredible surf day after day. they are just 100m from supertubes, affordable and vibey. i would recommend anyone going to jeffreys bay to stay there.

For people who are going to go to Misty Lodge: beware of the illusive con-man (Paul) who promises you the surf trip of a lifetime takes R3000-00 puts you on a bazbus to meet him in the 4x4 he is picking up, and never shows... This is the only way we can get him back...
