Question:
This is just to inform people visiting Vietnam to be aware of CAT BA island. It is off of Halong Bay, North Vietnam. My girlfriend was raped and I was mugged in a hotel called 'THAO MINH'. We have had no help from the vietnamese government and basically all I can do is inform those visiting this national park to be aware of this town and specifically the hotel. I have had no success in deleting the named hotel in the rough guide, as I have been unable to contact anyone directly (as your probably aware, they dont reply to emails!) So please be careful when visiting CAT BA island, and stay away from THAO MINH hotel. Heroin is rife with needles and hookers paving the streets like slabs of stone.
