i was planning to travel from brisbane to cairns and back in a campervan this april. anybody know a vague price to hire a cheap one for 4 weeks?

If you're looking for something cheap, but also reliable, I'd go for a Hi-Top Campervan from Britz Rentals. They charge $80 (£32)per day + insurance and the longer the rental the cheaper the rate.
If you're looking for something a little roomier eg a permanent bed, not fold out, then try NQ Rentals who are based in Cairns though they do service all capital cities. They will charge you $109 (£43.60)per day + ins for a one tonne ute with a cab over (sorta Luton Van style.)

Once you get to Brissie you'll come across loads of other rental outfits who will offer you all sorts. One of the better extra cheapos is "Rent a Wreck" though their prices tend to be what they have available on the day.
