Hey i am going to New Zealand at the end of May. Any suggestions to where i can pick up cheap car or van. Something that will run for duration off my stay of 6 months.

Go to Turners Vehicle Auctions at Penrose on Wednesday at midday as this is when they have their "Budget Cars Auction." Turners have a few lots around Auckland but the Penrose one is the biggest.

Cars at this auction are all under $5000(NZD) approx £1800.

I am going to NZ at beginning of May, flying to Auckland and seeing friends and then want to travel down through N & S islands and leave later from Christchurch - haven't planned the trip yet but would be good to have travelling companion for some of it. I thought of getting bus but car some of the way might work well. I am probably much older than you but hey, who cares?!
