i know the kiwi's are crazy about mountain biking, i hope to do some snowboarding when i'm there..now have plenty of info on that but MTB.. anyone got ne good areas or trails? I am going to be all around south and north islands. havent got a bike with me, so ill be renting this time.

any info from mtbikers, please.. any XC, freeride or DH trails..

Hi, Heather from North Hokianga Trekking here- we take visitors on guided horse rides over the Takahue Saddle, it is also a great mountain bike trail that goes between Broadwoodin Hokianga and Takahue in the Far North, for road cyclists, it cuts down on dangerous road riding- the roads here are very narrow and winding and the drivers are not the best!!
