Would love to hear anyone's views on whether I should rethink a trip to the Philippines mid October - only have until the end of the month before paying my full flight.

Haven't worked out where going but a couple of places include Borocay and Bohol - the problem is Mount Mayan which is threatening to blow and at the moment having mini eruptions and chucking out lots of ash. I see 40,000 people have been evacuated but the exclusion zone is only 8km.

It would be great to know if anyone has any views on this and if we are mad thinking of going there or whether OK as only a small area might be affected! Appreciate that the situation might change over the next couple of weeks.
