Hi All

I'm selling my Stray Travel bus pass for New Zealand - a route which I started on in January 2007. (See Stray Travel) The minimum recommended travel time for this route is 16 days (2 days extra for Tongararo Crossing upgrade). As you'll see in the description below there are plenty of opportunities for staying one or more extra days in places you fall in love with, or for that matter doing the whole lot again, as the pass is valid until 14th January 2008!! The beauty of this pass is that you travel when you like - if you decide to stop somewhere for a month then you just phone up Stray the day before you want to move on and you're on the bus the next day! Unfortunately I only had just over 3 weeks in New Zealand as part of my world tour, but you could easily spend double that!

Stray was a great way to meet people - many of whom I'm meeting up with next month, which was particularly important to me as I was travelling alone. The bus drivers were awesome too and really got the atmosphere going on the bus. Stray also helped to guarantee places and price reductions on popular excursions (like whale watching, dolphin swimming, glacier hiking etc) which some of my friends who travelled in cars or on national bus routes unfortunately missed out on due to lack of places. Though don't get me wrong, you could still do it all this way, but you can't just decide on the day whether you want to do these activities - you'd have to book in advance or spend a few days waiting around for cancellations.

Stray passes don't come cheap though (at least not new!). This one set me back NZ$955 which is US$755 or GB£370!! As its still valid until 14th January 2008 I figured I'd let someone else get some use out of it! The only slight catch with this is that you would need to sign yourself in as me so guys only please! Its nothing to worry about though - they never once checked anyone's ID, they just want to see your pass (which I'll mail to you obviously) and hey if you're worried about not being called your own name then just make up a story as to why people use it as a nickname!! Seriously there were plenty of other people doing the same thing even whilst I was there!

I'm currently selling it on eBay but I'd be happy to pull the auction and sell now for a reasonable offer. The full route information is listed there too along with the route map.

I'll provide Free Special Delivery Next Day UK Postage (fully insured) for the bus pass. If you're buying from abroad I'll happily post, but you'll need to pay me any difference between Special Delivery Next Day Postage (£4.30) and postage to your destination. The international postage price quoted here is an estimate, if you're a serious buyer from outside the UK let me know and I'll research it properly. The package will weigh a matter of only 10 grams though so this is unlikely to cost too much more!

Any questions about anything please just ask!!!

Geez, what a mean thing to do! Whoever buys your ticket will get chucked off the bus - I heard that the drivers DO check ID's and HAVE done this before! Don't buy it people!
