I'm going to be applying for a working visa for australia and n.z soon, if anyone has info on the best way to do this, I'd really appreciate it. Also, I've heard you need a certain amount in your bank to enter n.z and aus, how much is the min and how long does this need to stay in your bank upon entry? Any help would be mucho appreciated, ta

Hi.
The best way to get a visa for Australia is from the www.immi.gov.au website. It costs about £80, and you get an email confirmation, mine arrived in about 24 hours. You don't need to send your passport off, just print a copy of the email. The website tells you how much money you need, it's about £2000 plus either an onward ticket, or enough funds to buy one. As for proof, a recent bank statement is needed, although i don't know what you would do if you are traveling for a few months before you get there. Sorry i don't know anything about New Zealand. Chris. |

No-one i know who's ever entered NZ has ever been asked for proof of funds on arrival, although you do need this proof when applying for a visa, as your intended stay is longer than a holiday.
