I am planning my second Contiki tour for this summer to Austraila, I have never been and will be having free time in cities like Cairns, Melbourne, Frasure Island, Whitsundays and Capricorn coast. I was hoping someone may have less obvious things to do in any or all of these places. I am hoping to get the most out of my time there, and although I know Contiki will have plenty of opportunity (you can check out my itinerary at contiki.com/tours/35-beaches-and-reefs), I know I also have ample free time to roam as I please. Help!

just came back from AUS and did a great tour in sydney!!! i went on this fantastic guided bike tour...4hours....for A$ 59!!
was one of the best things i did during my holiday. was so good fun and got to see so so much of this wonderful city...
