Question:
Hi, I'm traveling to NZ for a year in a few weeks - any recommendations on a good, low-cost and convenient bank to set up an account? I am flying into Auckland.
Also, any advice on where to get gumboots? And are they good for year-round farmwork as well as winter?
Many thanks!

Hi, a good pair of gumboots is best bought from a rural supply shop such as RD1 or Wrightsons, forget the cheapy chainstore ones, they don't last. We wear them just about all year round on our farm here in the Hokianga (best place in NZ) ride our horses in them, walk miles in them, etc. Resband is a very good brand.

Kia ora
ASB usually rates highly in surveys of customer satisfaction.
