i was travelling around new zealand last year as a solo female. when i arrived i was quite nervous and did the kiwi experience, to meet poeple and to get my barings. but i ended up only doing it through the north island. i found it very quick, you don't really get to see much of the country as there is always a time limit. it is a party bus too, but not too massively party party! the activities are good, but you end up doing them all and spending all your money! travelling in new zealand alone as a girl is so easy, everyone is friendly and interested in what you are up to. when you are alone you meet a lot of people easily as well.
i hope i have helped, have fun, enjoy. |

Hi I did the oz experience and would not recommend it. It did not give you the time or deal's that were worthwhile and the worse indiuviduals seemed to be on the bus. I would definately take up with awesome adventures or book a peter pan tour when you get out there so much cheaper and just use the regular coach between towns much cheaper and quicker. You will make friend on the trips I've mentioned. However in New zealand the bus system is not as convenient so car hire is advisable or look at the notice boards and catch a lift with other travellers in hostels! You will have an amazing time I did!
