we have been staying in bali for the last 3 weeks and have had a wonderful time. we have been staying in many nice hotels for between 35000 & 70000 rupiah per night for double rooms with hot and cold en-suite showers. we have just been staying at MIMPI BUNGALOWS on poppies lane 1, kuta, and just settled the account for the last 9 nights. we were told it was 50000 rupiah per night and thought it reasonable, as it only had cold water shower. however we were told today that it was 150000 per night! after a long debate with the staff, we were shouted at by the manager that we were liars. 'police' were called at our request and we were intimidated into paying 100000 rupiah per night.

we would urge other travellers to avoid MIMPI BUNGALOWS as we do not want anyone else to have to go through what we have just gone through.

Just want to differentiate beween the bungalows in this post & my bungalows which are called Mimpi Manis & are in Kuta Lombok as opposed to Kuta Bali. You know that old saying give a dog a bad name! Well it aint our dog! We have never had a complaint yet. You can check out our homestay at www.mimpmanis.com budget rates but with lots of extras.
