Hi

i spent some time last summer in Kashmir and will be returning this summer to India. I'm thinking about Shimla,Manali,Dharamsala and other places in HP and Uttaranchal (or whatever they're calling that state these days!)
Does anyone have opinions on these places. Although i'm free to travel around, i also need to settle at some point as i have a book to finish writing and will be looking to rent a room for three months to work in.
