Any information welcome aqbout travelling from Chonquing to Wuhan on the local boats, is it possible to book for this trip in the U.K.

I am sure you can book but I am sure you will pay much more over the odds for the trip.

I did the trip in 2000 and got a boat on the day. There are several classes, first have TV showers etc as well as included meals but costs a bit (not that much in UK terms though). I travelled with the masses though the toilets had much to be desired, it was not too bad.

I'd recommend the mini gorges day trip too as the water is so much clearer and blue compared to the Yangtzi. It will all disappear within this year!

PS Look out for the odd dead body floating by.
