Hi, we will be in Singapore for ten days next month. Wondering what would be a better option: visit something near Singapore, like the islands south of it, or the Malay Penininsula to the north, or to hop a train to Kuala Lumpur?

Since you will be in Singapore for 10days, would you consider spending 2nites at Bintan Resorts?? Bintan Island itseld is a beautiful island, belongs to Indonesia. But it share close proximity to Singapore, only abt 45mins ferry ride.

I think you will be in time for a new event known as AirBlast Kite surfing open competition. Resorts like Banyan Tree, Club Med, Mana Mana, Bintan Lagoon are all there.

I stayed at Mayang Sari Villa once, it was really nice. Beach front!

Have fun for sure. Personally, id head up to malaysia (say get a bus to malaka and spent a night and then up to KL). Or over to the tioman islands although i'm not sure about the weather?...

Two days in singapore is probablt enough - shopping and eating is what you can do there!
