There's stacks to do there, rock climbing, trips out to islands, diving and snorkelling, visiting the national parks in the province... what are you interested in?

Hi,

I remember i stayed in krabi town - but the main attractions are the beaches by the outskirts (where as the previous post mentioned, includes the reknowned rock climbing opportunities).

You need to get a bus down there or a boat.

But i recommend catching the ferry to Ko Lanta from the pier. One of my favouritte places in thailand!

Have fun.

Yes I've been to Krabi and I ran away after a few hours. The place must have been a Paradise years ago, but now it's over developed the "famous" beaches are small and dirty. I've seen better unspoilt things in Thailand. Go to National Marine Parks where you can only sleep in tents of to the Southern part of Ko Lanta, still rough and far from the crowd

Krabi itself is a bit inland. The beaches and parks around Krabi are the real attraction. I stayed in Rai Leh beach, specifically West Hat, and would highly recommend it to others. It wasn't too crowded (April), but you can easily get away from it all on one of the nearby hikes or find your own beach by hiring one of the longtail drivers. Of course, the beach itself is spectacular.

If you're interested, most of the beach photos in my Thailand travel photos are from there:

Have a great trip.
