Hi, have any of you used ATM.s in India. We do not want to take alot of Cash in US , for safety reasons and it would be nice to know we can use ATMS . we are going to Chennai. Mysore, Cochin. Gao, Bombay

this should not be a problem. Most of the ATMs there should take foreign cards. Only thing is the ATMs may not have the Plus or Cirrus logos, so just insert your card in. The machine will either ask you for confirmation to route your requests to your home bank network (with charges), or if it does not work will just spit your card out.

You will have no trouble using an ATM with an internation card, be it Mastercard, Visa Amex or Cirrus/Switch.
