The previous intended expedition/adventure to visit the Korawai/Kombai Treehouse people has had to be put off for another year. Costs in-country have gone crazy, especially the hiring of misionary planes. Now a much more leisurely time is planned to head to the stunning Raja Empat Islands (8 days) to hopefully see some of the fantastic Birds of Paradise and other exceptional Papuan endemics, and then head to the highlands capital of Wamena and do a 10 day trek from there, probably Lake Habbema route.
