Does anyone have any thoughts on the best way to carry money in Vietnam? Are traveller's cheques the best bet, or are there plenty of cash points in the main towns?

Thanks for any advice,

Carl

Hey!

There are plenty of points to exchange money in Vietnam... more importantly is HOW you carry it. If they smell money on you, they will look at you as an easy target **in the big cities**

While I was in Saigon I was leaving my guest house and the strap of my money belt was hanging out a tad. The house lady told me to tuck it well under my pants, and to cover it up with my T.

But there was no problem getting moula!

cheers.

dont carry more than $150 US and dont use your visa to pay for anything ...only use cash...get the cash out from an atm when you need it...credit card fraud is huge
