Looking for recommendations for the best beach-bumming Island for backpacking babes on a budget.
The consensus is obvious that Phuket is a resort filled family flop. Then Phi-Phi was suggested, but just read something about it being poo-poo. Soooooo, all you well traveled peeps, what is your take on finding the perfect spot to stop for a week on the beach in Thailand.
Oh, Bali too, if you have suggestions there as well.

Go to Koh Mak. First you gotta get to Koh Chang. From there its the second island south. You gotta hop onto another island and than take the boat to Koh Mak. Or just ask around on Koh Chang and someone is gonna tell you how to get there. Beware, though, once you get there you might stay for a few weeks. That's what happened to me. And, stay away from all those "down south" islands such as Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Phi Phi, etc, etc. The only one worth a look is Koh Tao.
