Need advice, i'm in my early 20's and want to go travellin in Europe next year, but am quite nervous about travellin on my own. Have wanted to go for several years but haven't been had the guts to fully take the plunge. Could do with some reassurance that the world out there isn't quite as bad as the news would have you believe!

Hmm. Well I haven't done it yet, but I'm leaving August 31 for two months backpacking through Russia and Europe on my own, so cross your fingers and I'll keep you posted.

I too am traveling solo. I will be in Europe for three months. I recently got laid off from work and just decided to go. I am 27 years old and would like to meet up with others while in Europe. I arrive in Germany September 18th and will travel to Munich on the 19th so I'll be there for Oktoberfest.
