The mission of our volunteer program is to offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for international volunteers and to seek sustainable solutions for education, health, conservation, and development issues through volunteering. We hope to achieve this goal by offering community orientated volunteer programs where the efforts of our volunteers go directly to the poor people and their communities.

:: The Program


Working in an Orphanage

Volunteers will be placed in an orphanage or Children's Care House where
they will assist the children in their day to day routine (Volunteers still
live with a host family or where available in the actual orphanage/ Care
House). There are several orphanages you can be placed in, all within an
hour from Kathmandu. Our orphanage established to give a rebirth to the past and futureless
girls from the prison and abandoned ones by including social, cultural
and family values and civic sense to them.

The children are mostly between the ages of four and fifteen, and have a basic understanding
of English. The general role of the volunteer will be to act as an older
sibling: to care for, look after and encourage the children. Volunteers will
teach the children general life skills, including health and sanitation, as
well as arts, crafts and music. In some of the orphanages the children do go
to school,and you can help the children with their school homework .


:: Program Location
The placements are available in Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara and Chitwan, all of which are near to the main city. Volunteer can look up the places to get more of a feel for the areas and we can discuss where you are to stay when you arrive according to your needs and also determined upon arrival with considerations of safety of volunteers and availability.

Volunteers for this program must: be 18 years or older have no major health problems
