Can anyone tell me if they have done elephant trekking in Thailand, I saw a programme on TV, it was in Northern Thailand where you travel by elephant and stay in local villages. Unfortunately did not get name of the company that does it. If anyone has any info, or who has done it, plse pass on info. Thanks

once in thailand, you will easily find many such tours. it's generally best to book treks in the town you'll be trekking from, rather than bangkok.

have you done one of these treks, could you tell me a little more about them, and do you think if I have limited time, that it would be a good way of seeing the country and meeting some of the locals.
